BARRHAVEN TO WELCOME TWO HOTELS IN 2019!

The Towne Place Suites will include;

5 storeys, 100 rooms

Pool, gym, meeting rooms

Units vary in size from studio, 1 bedroom + den, and 2 bedroom

Larger suites will have a kitchenette

Construction to begin fall 2018 or spring 2019.

The Hampton Inn & Suites offers;

6 storeys, 100 rooms

Indoor swimming pool and gym

Conference facilities for up to 175 people.

Construction to begin late summer or fall 2018, to open in spring 2019

Planning Committee Meeting: 3311 Greenbank Road

The Official Plan and Zoning for 3311 Greenbank Road will be considered by the City of Ottawa Planning Committee on Tuesday, March 27, 2018.

The Planning Committee meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Champlain Room, City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa. You are welcome to attend the meeting and present your views.

Attached is a copy of the report outlining the Departmental recommendations, including a copy of the proposed Official Plan Amendment.

The Planning Committee will consider any written submissions in respect to this matter if provided to the Committee Co-ordinator of the Planning Committee at 110 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa, K1P 1J1 or by fax at 613-580-9609 or by e-mail at Melody.Duffenais@ottawa.ca.

If you wish to speak to the Committee please call the Committee Coordinator, Melody Duffenais at 613-580-2424, extension 20113 in advance of the meeting and preferably, by at least 4:30 p.m. on the day before the meeting.

Clean up our Parks!

Cleaning the Capital

This year, our Cleaning the Capital will be held on

April 29, 2017 from 9:30 am - 11:00 am (Rain Date: May 6)

Come show your community pride by volunteering to help clean up our parks!

You may register to be a team lead or volunteer for any of the community parks by contacting parks@hmbca.ca or commenting on the event created on our facebook page.

Let’s Help Clean Up Half Moon Bay!

Our parks need your help with Spring Cleaning! The Half Moon Bay Community Association has registered six Half Moon Bay Parks for the City of Ottawa’s Tim Hortons Cleaning the Capital Campaign.

Freshwater Parkette
River Run Park
Half Moon Bay Park & Stormwater Pond
Regatta Park
Corrigan Stormwater Pond & Park
Tucana Park

We need 12 Captains to help organize the clean up projects at our 6 community parks. We are also looking for community volunteers for each team to help with the clean-up activities.

All families and student volunteers are welcome!

Student volunteer hours can be issued if arranged in advance. To participate as a captain, please contact Kris Raby via Facebook or at parks@hmbca.ca.
