Hello Neighbours!

We are currently seeking individuals who are passionate about their community and wish to volunteer their time to make Half Moon Bay a wonderful place to live. If you are interested in volunteering casually or in a Director capacity, please respond to this email.
Casual Volunteers may contribute towards a unique project/event, or simply put forward their name for "as-needed" volunteer hours. You tell us what you're interested in doing!

HMBCA Directors sit on the Community Association's Board of Directors. Meetings are typically held monthly. There may be occasions leading up to special events, where you may choose to attend additional Ad Hoc meetings.
Each Director is responsible for a specific portfolio (Administration, Events, Parks and Environment, Public Relations). Please indicate your preferred area, based on your experience and interests.

Thank you for your consideration and community participation! We look forward to hearing from you!

Please contact us at info@hmbca.ca if you are interested in vonunteering

Heroes of Half Moon Bay

Ottawa set a new one-day snowfall record of 50cm on February 16th, 2016. Many people were faced with vehicles that were completely snowed in. Others were unwell or injured at home and unable to shovel themselves out. Then there were those that struggled to get home from work, their kids from daycare, get out to work, or even get to the hospital because their vehicles were stuck on their own streets. So many in the city were frustrated and at their wits end. This is how our community of Half Moon Bay stepped up and handled the situation. Way to go HMB!!!

Lest we forget

poppyThe Half Moon Bay Community Association would like to thank and remember all of our veterans on Remembrance Day. Half Moon Bay is also home to many current service members and we sincerely thank them for working hard to represent Canada here and abroad.

A public Remembrance Day Service and Wreath Laying will take place here in Barrhaven at John McCrae Secondary School at 103 Malvern Drive beginning at 10:30am.
