The 2015 HMBCA Community Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, May 30th! This is your chance to get rid of those unwanted items you've dug up during spring cleaning and put a little extra cash in your pocket.
Registration opens soon
In a couple of weeks registration will open for HMBCA members to list their garage sale on our website and on a printed list and map for eager shoppers. The HMBCA takes care of all the advertising to make sure that the entire city knows we're open for business! The more homes that register and hold a garage sale, the more shoppers that we can attract.
You can show up for as much or as little time as you're available, any hands can help! Please contact Lisa Noseworthy, Director of Events, at firstname.lastname@example.org to register. (Walk-ups on the day of are also always welcome).
Once again City Councillor Jan Harder is holding her Spring Open House tonight in the Upper Concourse of the Walter Baker Centre from 5pm to 7:30pm. The HMBCA will have a table set up, come say hi!
Representatives from many city departments will be on hand to chat or hear your concerns, as well as the Ottawa Carleton Disctrict School Board and Trustee Donna Blackburn who will be showing off the design of the new Half Moon Bay Public School slated to open in Fall 2016.
It has come to our attention that some of the candy handed out at the Easter Egg Hunt today "May contain Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Wheat, Milk and Eggs." While the ingredient lists do not contain peanuts or tree nuts, we felt it important to communicate this important information as soon as possible.
The HMBCA is updating its food policies for future events.

We heard a rumour that the Easter Bunny has hidden his eggs at Half Moon Bay Park and needs help collecting them on Saturday, April 4th!
At 10am we're inviting the kids of Half Moon Bay to collect the eggs around the play structures and near the soccer field at Half Moon Bay Park. For every 10 eggs found the kids can exchange them for some chocolate!
The Easter Bunny is also looking for some volunteers to help get ready for the event earlier Saturday morning. Please contact Lisa Noseworthy, Director of Events, at email@example.com if you can help out.
