What: Community Open House for residents of Half Moon Bay and The Meadows

Where: Minto Recreation Complex, Cambrian Room
Together with City Councillor Jan Harder, the HMBCA has organized a Community Open House for residents of Half Moon Bay and The Meadows.
This is your chance to chat with the Councillor, HMBCA Directors, and representatives from By-law Services, Ottawa Police, and OC Transpo about issues specific to our area of the city.

It looks like we'll get a break from the rain for the duration of the 2015 HMBCA Community Garage Sale from 8am to 12pm on Saturday May 30th, so we're still on as planned.
Check out the map and list of some items on the Garage Sale page. Printed maps and lists of addresses will also be handed out around the community in the morning.

If you haven't registered already, the deadline to have your garage sale shown on the printed map is Tuesday, May 26th at 9am. This map and list will be handed out to shoppers the day of the Garage Sale.
After that date, you can still register your garage sale, but it will only appear on the Garage Sale webpage map and list.
We're happy to announce that almost 100 homes have registered so far!
We need volunteers to hand out maps to shoppers and at garage sales the morning of May 30th. If you're available to help out, or are willing to hand out maps at your garage sale, please contact Director of Membership Julie Rehaluk at membership@hmbca.ca.
The Barrhaven Lions Club are hosting their annual Pancake Breakfast to support the Children’s Wish Foundation on May 16th from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This year the event is being held next door to Half Moon Bay at Fire Station 47, 3559 Greenbank Road (beside the Minto Rec. Complex).
Admission fees are: Adults $6; Children (2-12 years) $4; and infants under 2 Free. Breakfast will include pancakes, sausages, juice, coffee, and tea.
The 2015 HMBCA Community Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, May 30th! This is your chance to get rid of those unwanted items you've dug up during spring cleaning and put a little extra cash in your pocket.
As an HMBCA Member, you can login to our website and register your garage sale to be listed on the public garage sale page, and on the printed map that will be handed out the day of the sale. If you're not yet a member of the HMBCA, become a member now!
The rain date for the sale is Sunday, May 31st.
